History
The Panther Ausf. G was the final and most refined version of Germany’s Panther tank during World War II. Introduced in 1944, it featured significant improvements in armor and reliability over earlier models. The sloped frontal armor (up to 80mm) provided excellent protection, while the 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun was highly effective at long ranges against Allied tanks. Changes included improved hull design with simplified, interlocking armor plates and better crew comfort. Despite being mechanically complex and costly, the Ausf. G was one of the best all-around tanks of the war, excelling in firepower, mobility, and protection.
