History

The M2A2 Bradley is an upgraded variant of the U.S. Army’s Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV). Introduced in the late 1980s, it features enhanced armor protection (including spaced laminate armor and optional explosive reactive armor), improved suspension, and upgraded electronics. Armed with a 25 mm M242 Bushmaster chain gun, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and twin TOW anti-tank missile launchers, the M2A2 can transport a six-man infantry squad while providing strong firepower and battlefield mobility. It was designed to survive against Soviet-era threats and has been used extensively in conflicts such as the Gulf War and Iraq War.
