History
The Tiger I Ausf. E was one of the most feared tanks of World War II, renowned for its powerful 8.8 cm KwK 36 gun and heavy armor. Introduced in 1942 and developed by Königlich Bayerische Maschinenfabrik, it was Germany’s first operational heavy tank, designed to dominate both at range and in survivability.
Armed with a gun capable of penetrating 100 mm of armor at 1,000 meters and protected by up to 100 mm of frontal armor, the Tiger I could destroy any Allied tank from a distance. A secondary MG34 machine gun provided anti-infantry defense.
However, its 57-ton weight and 650-horsepower Maybach engine limited mobility, with a top speed of just 38 km/h. Mechanical issues, high fuel consumption, and production complexity further hampered its operational use, with only about 1,350 units built.
Despite these drawbacks, the Tiger I proved devastating in battles such as Kursk, Normandy, and the Ardennes. Its legacy endures as a symbol of German engineering and remains a focus of study for historians and tank enthusiasts alike.

Good prize and great service Recommend it
The only thing somewhat bad I have to say it that the tracks were a little bit janky, but don’t let that stop you from making this purchase because besides that, I think it’s a great kit, and for a great price too!
For displays it works perfectly
