History

The TPz Fuchs (Transportpanzer Fuchs) is a versatile 6x6 armored personnel carrier developed by Rheinmetall for the German Bundeswehr in the 1980s. Known for its adaptability, the vehicle serves a wide range of military roles, including troop transport, command post, ambulance, and NBC reconnaissance. Powered by a 320-horsepower Mercedes-Benz V8 diesel engine, it can reach speeds of 105 km/h and has a range of 800 km, with the ability to traverse diverse terrains using its all-wheel-drive system and independent suspension.

The TPz Fuchs features a modular design, allowing for various mission configurations, and offers protection with steel armor against small arms fire and shell splinters. Its amphibious capabilities enable it to cross water obstacles without preparation. The base model can carry up to 10 soldiers, with optional upgrades for enhanced protection against mines and IEDs.
